Candied jalapeños are a sweet and spicy condiment that goes great on just about anything especially if it lives inside 2 pieces of bread. You may want to make extra cause these go quickly!!!
Ingredients
-
1-1/2 lbs. jalapeños
-
3 cp sugar
-
1-1/2 cp cider vinegar
-
1-1/2 tsp turmeric
-
1-1/2 tsp ground ginger
-
6 cloves garlic sliced
-
chili flakes if so desired
Directions
-
Bring to a boil sugar and vinegar. Cook until rich syrup. Add spices and garlic and cook for a minute.
-
Add jalapeños and cook about 4 min until peppers are browned slightly.
-
My peppers were pretty hot, so I didn’t add any chili flakes to this.
-
Pour contents into jars. I’m placing mine in the fridge, so I didn’t process my jars. If you wish to do so make sure and follow proper canning guidelines.
