Beat the heat this summer with a scoop of my homemade Peach Brown Sugar & Bourbon Ice Cream! 🍑🍦 This sweet and boozy treat combines ripe peaches, rich brown sugar, and a splash of bourbon for a truly Southern delight. Perfect for those hot summer days in Boudreaux's Backyard!
Ingredients:
- 6 ripe peaches, peeled and sliced
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 can evaporated milk
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar
- 2 oz bourbon
Directions:
- Peel, pit, and slice the peaches. Place in a sauté pan with the brown sugar and cook for about 5 minutes until the sugar dissolves.
- Remove from the stove and add the bourbon. Reduce until a thick syrup forms.
- Add the heavy cream to a blender and blend for 30 seconds to lightly thicken the cream.
- Add the peaches with syrup, evaporated milk, and condensed milk. Pulse several times to incorporate the ingredients.
- Place the mixture into small containers and allow it to cool in the freezer for at least 1 hour.
- Churn the ice cream for 20-25 minutes. Remove from the machine and allow it to harden in the freezer to your desired consistency.
