Hasselback Sweet Potatoes

Hasselback sweet potatoes are a fun twist to a traditional dish that adds a level of elegance and flare… and it's just cool 😎



  • 2 sweet potatoes
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp minced shallot
  • 1 tbsp green onion
  • 1 tbsp garlic
  • 1 tbsp parsley
  • Salt and pepper



  1. Precook potatoes at 300 for 2 hours, just until slightly soft.
  2. Place in between to small objects like chop sticks to prevent cutting all the way through.
  3. Slice thin slices all the way down.
  4. Melt butter and cook aromatics for 5 minutes.
  5. Spoon or brush mixture over potatoes . Add salt and pepper.
  6. Set oven at 425 convection and place back in until golden on edges. Baste with melted butter a few times during process.
